Welcome to my brand new podcast aged care
SOS. My name is Liz Moore, I work in the leadership space as a leadership expert and coach mentor in the aged care industry. I devoted a lot of my time working with frontline managers and aged care staff, helping them manage overworking overload, stress overwhelm, any issue that’s involving them in their role and helping them become better leaders and better individuals is that’s what we work on together. And a part of the aged care SOS podcast is the chance we get to talk to people, real people on the front line, the ones that are working within the industry, the ones that are having to face all the changes.
It’s one thing about aged care, if you didn’t already know, it’s an evolving industry, and it’s in a current under a constant state of change. That’s probably the only constant consistent thing. Sorry about the aged care industry. We’re going to talk to a lot of staff, we’re going to have interviews one a week, where you get a chance to listen to their stories, listen to where they started in the industry, why they started in the industry, what’s happened up to this point, what have been some of the challenges, what have made the difference? What have they done, to ensure that they can keep their head up and keep motivated and inspired to want to stay and be part of the aged care industry. Because it’s really challenging.
If you’re listening to this, and you are in the industry, you know exactly what I mean. You know how difficult it really use to manage what’s going on in the environment that we work in. But that doesn’t mean we have to leave, it doesn’t mean we have to change it means we’ve just got to adapt and move on and grow and grow the culture make it amazing and make it work for us and the ones the only beautiful people that we look after in their communities and in the residences, and in the facilities.
So this is pretty much just an introduction, a little bit about me. And what I do, and why I’m doing this is to help get the message out there that Aged Care is a wonderful place to have a career. It’s a wonderful place to be a leader. It’s a wonderful place to get work satisfaction actually love what you do. And you get the chance to hear that from a lot of staff who we talk to, especially when they talk about their challenges. They talk about their journeys, they talk about how far they’ve come, what they’ve learned along the way, who they’ve come across who they’ve spoken to some of the stories they might have gotten from certain residents and clients that they’ve got to meet and share some amazing stories with them.
That’s the sort of thing we’re going to share. We’re going to enjoy the journey along the way. So please reach out.
